SSM Summer Bucket List – Jacksonville FL

Jetting off to our home base as we enjoy these last months of summer! We hope you’ve checked off most of the things on your summer bucket list already, and we have a few more you can add below!

We have to start off with Jacksonville’s 22 miles of beautiful white sand beaches.

Starting off with Jacksonville Beach, spend your day exploring the boardwalk, cast a line, take a surf lesson, rent a stand up paddle board and walk to the many restaurants and bars to spend your evening!

If you’re looking to shop, dine, relax and enjoy the ocean breeze, head over to Neptune Beach, home of the Beaches Town Center. Offering many boutiques, fitness centers, restaurants, an independent book store, coffee shop and so much more, it is the perfect way to spend a day by the ocean! Don’t forget to stop by the historic local landmark Pete’s Bar!

Heading north to Atlantic Beach, the destination for events, arts and an esteemed vacation destination since the 1900s. “Atlantic Beach’s Cultural Corridor’s mission is to be the hub for culinary arts and the community, and they’ve done just that. Showcasing local makers and creators selling their goods to the community, their local events also highlight a variety of cuisine with food truck roundups. Get to know local artists at the Atlantic Beach Arts Market, featuring over 90 local vendors. Open seven days a week, browse local jewelry, pottery, glass, fine arts, handmade gifts and more to find the perfect souvenir to take home.”

For our beer lovers, make sure to check out the Jax Ale Trail. Start off by getting your Brewery Passport before heading to the dozens of local breweries. Your passport will be stamped at each brewery to receive FREE Jax Ale Trail beer gear!

For our sports fans, whether you are in the stands or cheering from your favorite bar, don’t miss our Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 17th!

Spend the day on a safari at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. With over 2,000 rare and exotic animals and 1,000 varieties of plants, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is an award winning institution dedicated to animal wellness and connecting visitors with wildlife and nature.

Don’t miss a show at Daily’s Place, the entertainment staple in Downtown Jacksonville. Upcoming shows include John Legend, Creed and more!
